Coming Out Plan, and Braces

Firstly, im sorry i havent really been posting very often, i just cant really think of anything to write about, and nothing interesting is happening in my life, so theres really nothing to blog about in that aspect. but dont worry, im still here :P


now, about my braces. i've had braces now for about 4 or 5 years. but FINALLY they're coming off on monday. i cant wait!! :D even though i eat things which i shouldnt like gum, caramel, popcorn, etc i cant wait to get my braces off and finally have smooth teeth, and a metal free mouth :) i absolutely can not wait! :D


as for coming out... Jason's coming out process got me thinking about my own coming out; since i really dont often think about it. i realised that i dont think i've talked about it on here (or, not recently, atleast).

So, my coming out plan is rather simple. stay closeted through highschool, then, enter university already out. this way, there is, really, no big coming out to deal with. when i go to university, i will be leaving my friends, so it will be a completely fresh start. i plan on taking advantage of this fresh start to be a new person, to be a new me, or really... to be the real me. i plan on entering university as an out bisexual (which, despite the title of the blog, i am[bisexual])

this is my plan, but i worry that i might chicken out or something when the time actually comes. becuase as of now, i cant even fathem, being 'out' to society, and the public. i worry that when i go to university, ill still be afraid, so i wouldnt come out. i suspect im most likely to be afraid of coming out mainly due to fears of trouble making friends. but i guess ill have to deal with that as it comes- i just really hope i can follow through, and get used to being 'out' all of a sudden lol.

what do u guys think? does this sound realstic? jason commented that when i get a questionnaire for dorms they will probably ask sexual orientation, so if i check off bisexual, i could be put with another gay/bi which, really, would be a deep dive for me, but i guess it would help getting my used to my 'new life', if you will.

for those wondering why im not coming out in highschool, simply, i dont think it would be a good idea. i'm not condfident my friends would still accept me, and therefore, i think it's far too risky to come out, because i could potentially end up with no friends- and that's not what i want in the middle of my last year in highschool. now, of course, i imagine i will still be friends with my current friends when i go off to uni, so i know ill probably still have to tell them-- the difference is that if they decide they dont want to hang out with me anymore, then it isnt a problem, because i would rarely see them anyways, since we're at different schools.

I've been thinking of what it would be like to be out. its an amazingly intimidating feeling. scary, really. im so far in the closet, being out is just so far away from my reality, when i think about the fact that in less than a year, i will be out, and feel really weird. lol

so ya... what do u guys think about that? good? bad? should i wait some time, and get into the crowds? etc etc?

as a side note - I have a question to anyone reading this who attends university in Ontario.

if there is anyone reading this who attends Western, Carelton, Laurier, or Queens, could you let me know what your opinion about your university is? that would be amazing. (im thinking of attending the mentioned uni's so im trying to find some opinions of 'average' people)

Itouch, Marks, and Movies

sry i havent posted much.

i guess ive got some stuff to write about, but none of it really relates.

first off, lately, i've been thinking about christmas, and christmas presents. i decided i think i want an itouch, but i first wanted to talk about it on here, so i could see if any of my readers has an itouch, or knows anyone with one.... could anyone let me know how good they think the itouch is? if it would be worth getting? (i do not have an ipod)... so ya.... if anyone has an itouch, or knows about them, could u let me know what u think of them?

secondly, i got my mid term report card yesterday. im not doing too well. an 80 in law, but only a 70 in world issues... and an 87 in sports marketing, but that class is college level, so meh...

i was going to rant about my world issues teacher. but meh, i'll save u guys the rant :P lol. she just marks really hard, and... oddly. also, we've been having to do write ups, in different styles- styles we've never done before, but she isnt really teaching us these styles/formats so im losing marks on that. though, my mark is the same as the calss average, so thats good i suppose..

so i guess i just need to pick up the slack for my world issues class... and my law class.. meh.. there is a write up which i havent handed in, so im sure that will boost my mark... anyways, i hope i can do better in the secnod half of the semester.

me, steven, aaron, and gregg went to see 2012 the other night. i thought the movie was pretty good. i'de give it a 7 or 8 out of 10. the first three quarters was defo good, but i didnt really like the very ending, this bit of the story line i didnt like, and even some scenes just looked like they didnt go through post production editing, or something- they didnt seem right.

for those who've seen the movie, you'll know what im talking about- lol, the russian billionaire was defo my favourite person in the movie :P "engine... start" :D


lastly, this movie looks really nice :) it's very emotional/touching

Never Forget

Today, November 11th, is Rememberance day.

Remembrance day is the day dedicated to remembering, and appreciating all the soldiers who have fought, risking, or giving their lives for the Freedom, Liberty, and Equality we have today. This is what this post is about. Throughout this post i want to express my complete thanks, and gratitude.

Today there will be an assembly at school for Remembrance Day, and, as with much of the country, we will have 2 minutes of silence at 11:00.




As a result of the men and women who fought, and the many who gave their lives, I, as a Canadian Citizen have numurous Rights, Liberties, and Freedoms. I have Soldiers, and Veterans to thank for that- which is what this day is all about. Here are some of those Freedoms, Rights, and Liberties:

freedom of conscience, freedom of religion, freedom of thought, freedom of belief, freedom of expression, freedom of the press and of other media of communication, freedom of peaceful assembly, and freedom of association. the right to participate in political activities and the right to a democratic form of government. the right to enter and leave Canada, and to move to and take up residence in any province, or to reside outside Canada. right to life, liberty, and security of the person. right from unreasonable search and seizure. freedom from arbitrary detainment or imprisonment. right to legal counsel and the guarantee of habeas corpus. rights in criminal and penal matters such as the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty. right not to be subject to cruel and unusual punishment. rights against self-incrimination. rights to an interpreter in a court proceeding. and equal treatment before and under the law, and equal protection and benefit of the law without discrimination.

Seeing as this is a gay blog, i think i should comment on the gay aspect. i always feel fortunate to be living in Canada, because here, I as a bi/homosexual have rights and freedoms, which only people from a small number of other countries have. and frankly, i'm extremely thankful for that.

20 Years Ago....

The Fall of The Berlin Wall

Volunteering, Eavesdropping, and Autumn

So, today i went to go volunteer at the local church.

now.... let me stop here, for a second :P just as a reminder: i am not religious, at all- i rather... dont like religion tbh. the reason i volunteered is because, in order to graduate highschool, along with the needed credits, every student must have 40 hours of community service.

so... i volunteered to get my community service hours, and the whole time (it was about 3 hours) i washed dishes. the church put on some lunch i guess. i dont know why though.

i was talking with one of the adult women who was in the kitchen with me, and we were talking about the highschool i go to and whatnot, and she asked me if i was on the football team. lol. i told her i wasnt, and she seemed surprised, and told me "you look like you would be"

tbh, i've never had anyone ask if i was on the football team before. usually people ask if im on the basketball team. lol (im 6'1 / 185cm)


also, the minister- lol... he was interesting. to put it frankly, he was stereotypically gay. lol. he had a "gay" voice, and was very, very outgoing. i didnt really talk to him though, i just heard him talking to the ladies in the kitchen with me- and boy, i was sure he was gay. lol

on a different note, i wanted to write about something that happened last week which never fit into a post. when i was in the library during my spare period, i was (sorta trying) to do work (reading the text book), but there was a group of girls sitting near me, and they were talking and gossiping, lol so i listened to them for most of the time. mostly, two of them were talking to the third about her boyfriend. the other two dont really like her boyfriend/that she's dating him.

anyways, the interesting bit i wanted to post about, was at one point, after some talking about the relationship, and hints the the two other friends didnt like it, the 3rd girl said she didnt understand why they dont like him, then one of the other girls, in a monotone, half/sorta whisper, said "because he's a faaaaaaaaag" then, like right after, the second girl said something like "*gasp* oh no, dont use that word. it's really mean".. then the girl who said it agreed, and again tried to explain (properly) why she doesnt like the relationship..... that made me happy ^_^

and lastly, again, on a different subject... im REALLY liking fall :D

my favourite seasons are autumn, and winter.

there are a few reasons for this. one being the clothes. i really like wearing lots of warm clothes, (and i loathe wearing little amounts of clothes like shorts and a tshirt) so in winter, and partially in fall im able to do this.

i just find the atmosphere of fall to be rather nice, tho i dono why lol. and i LOVE all the colour with the leaves changing colour, and the slight, slight nip of the wind on some days, and the smell in the air in fall, and the weather, i really like :) the other day when i was waiting for the bus, it was -2C (28F) and i was absolutely loving it :D

lol, anyways, i really like fall (and winter), but most people seem to find that odd. lol. oh well :P

i think soon i might be changing the colours on my blog for fall :P (tho, i think its a bit late, so maybe ill go right into winter colours)
